Operating Code for the Appointment of Editors for Sport Management Review (SMR)

Incoming Editor: The SMR Associate Editor may assume the Editorship upon term completion with the approval of the SMAANZ Board, however, succession is not automatic. The Editor term is for 3 years and will be announced 12 months prior to the taking over as Editor.

Associate Editor(s), Case Study Editor, Book Review Editor, Review Editor, Podcast Editor: These positions shall be selected according to the following protocol and be for a term of 3 years.

A committee comprised of the incoming Journal Editor and SMAANZ President, and two SMAANZ Board member nominees, shall be charged with coordinating the selection process during the 12 months prior to the incoming Editor taking up appointment as Editor. The incoming Editor shall serve as the Committee Chair and be empowered to resolve any deadlocks. The Committee Chair shall issue a call for expressions of interest from current Editorial board members of SMR. It is recommended that EOIs are sent to the Committee Chair.

The Committee will evaluate all candidates, where to buy ativan online make recommendations, and forward such recommendations for each Editorial appointment to the SMAANZ Board for final approval.

Relevant deadlines for the EOI Call should include the following: 1. March: Call for EOIs made to all current Editorial Board members 2. April: EOI submission deadline 3. May: Committee convened to make recommendations to SMAANZ Board 4. June: Board considers recommendation 5. Nov: Public announcement of successful candidates made at SMAANZ AGM
