Teaching Philosophies in Sport Management
(Friday 27 October, 2 pm AEDT)

A clearly articulated teaching philosophy has gained importance within tertiary education. It can assist in communicating a commitment to student-centered instruction, aligning with our institutional objectives, and guiding the ongoing enhancement of pedagogical approaches. This upcoming webinar is set to showcase a distinguished panel of academics representing diverse career stages. They will delve into the importance of articulating a teaching philosophy and offer valuable perspectives on the formulation and evolution of their individual teaching philosophies. Our panellists (A/Prof. Kevin Filo, Dr. Dion Enari & Dr. Sarah Wymer) will share examples of how they actively implement their teaching philosophies in the creation of course curricula, the evaluation of their teaching effectiveness, and their career planning. This webinar promises to be a rich source of insights and practical guidance for sport management educators in tertiary education.

Our esteemed panel, expertly facilitated by Dr. Alana Thompson from La Trobe University, brings together a wealth of knowledge and experience. Featuring panellists A/Prof. Kevin Filo (Griffith University), Dr. Dion Enari (Auckland University of Technology)  & Dr. Sarah Wymer (Griffith University).
